i went to bloemfontein recently to attend my bro’s graduation. i wasn’t there long and didn’t get to go into the CBD to take photos, but i did go to the boer war museum, as well as to a really great restaurant/cafe called Meel (you must go there if you ever go to bloem! highly recommended). my great grandmother’s brother fought as a commando in the war for the boere (his clothes and personal belongings are actually displayed in the museum), so it was a pretty cool place to visit. a must-see for any south african. ja nee.
