i would never be brave enough to swim in a swamp, let alone go under water – so i am glad Karen Glaser did.
the weather is in this kind of mood today. images by the talented alexandria liegel
these photos are from Life magazine’s archives: Teenage Music – The Beachboys, The Righteous Brothers, ABC’s “Shindig” … i’m assuming it’s one of those american tv specials from the late fifties / early sixties where a bunch of kids would gather in a studio & dance wildly to a hip band (think Grease). oh yes, it looks like a ton of fun.
thomas van der zaag takes nice pictures
you know, i’ve never been a crochet kind of gal, and i’m not into collecting things like stones or shells – stuff i usually associate with south african holiday homes or your gran’s house. so naturally margaret oomen‘s beautiful crochet bound pebbles and stones took me by surprise. she says, “one of my favorite quotes is frank lloyd wright : study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. it will never fail you”
* my ridiculous attempt at a toto / totokaelo / wizard of oz reference, don’t mind me
totokaelo has a new look over at their website, it’s even more of a pleasure to browse & dream now.
