art inconnu

i have a couple of places that are my go to spots for online art gazing. art inconnu is certainly a favourite, being specifically geared toward little known & under appreciated art. i tend to sigh a lot when viewing the pieces that the curator shares… my future house is going to need a lot of wall space, that’s for sure.

many of these are from art innconu’s flickr stream

elle oh elle

the september Elle magazine has been out since mid-august, and i was determined to wait till september to actually post about this – but i am far too impatient for my own good….

kim, lana, lauren and i were lucky enough to be featured in their spring issue for ‘the scoop on spring’. in case you read the article and were wondering what on earth i was talking about – here’s my post about atonement & morris and here is the old mac daddy trailer park. i also mentioned pastel blouses, this is what i had in mind:

if you discovered my blog through the Elle, welcome! and thanks Elle mag, what an honour.

  1. Bare ankles and APC loafers – I want some so badly
  2. Finnish patterns by Sanna Annukka
  3. My vintage children’s book collection- because a part of me will never grow up
  4. Triangle necklace by Laura Lombardi – because triangles are cool
  5. Scalloped shorts – so pretty
  6. Barcelona chair by Mies van der Rohe – a classic
  7. The Tallest Man on Earth – a little Swedish man who plays the banjo
  8. Mad Men – no explanation needed here
  9. Mast Brothers – chocolate, awesome beards and beautiful packaging
  10. Lizzy Stewart – I wish I could draw like her
  11. Coralie Bickford-Smith’s book cover designs

if ever i had a blogging twin, wolf eyebrows would be it. i can’t count how many times catherine and i have unintentionally done identical posts. so if you like the content around here, definitely pay her a visit :)

slacks

first spotted this over at stay fancy free – they were taken by nina leen who churned out countless of amazing photographs that i’m happily discovering all over the internet. how amusing are these college girls parading around in their slacks? what a revelation. looking good.
