nicole miller

i really appreciate the photography of nicole miller. i love these shots because they’re not overly cute, twee or posed. or photoshopped for that matter. those requirements should apply to all photography.

charis wilson

charis wilson was a model & writer best known as the subject of photographer edward weston

wilson on the first time she met weston:

“For anyone interested in statistics – I wasn’t – he was 48 years old and I had just turned 20. What was important to me was the sight of someone who quite evidently was twice as alive as anyone else in the room, and whose eyes most likely saw twice as much as anyone else’s did.”

tomboy style

trawling through the archives of tomboy style by lizzie garrett is a favourite thing to do.

To define a tomboy requires searching far beyond the simple notion of wearing boy’s clothing. Tomboys have influenced the expanses of popular culture including fashion, film, music, and literature. Although the tomboy is often identified by clothing, what makes her wholly so is an inherent sense of confidence, rebelliousness, and adventure.
