as a kid my family would often go on camping trips, especially up the coast during the holidays. my parents had this huge canvas tent that was super complicated to put up – but the end result was a harry-potter like palace that could sleep all six of us. perhaps not a palace. i can still remember the smell of that tent… hot grass and sunscreen.

what a perfect memory. i would go camping with my family in the summers too, all piled into a big canvas tent. your description of the smell makes me nostalgic for those days.
