trays

serving trays are pretty much the last thing i thought i’d ever blog about, because they are the most boring of the kitchen paraphernalia right? we could make a list i guess. anyway, these ones from svenskt tenn with original designs by architect josef frank are rad. i’m happy to know there are some seriously cool trays out there because i love using them myself – especially when making tea, let’s get our sophistication on. plus sometimes i just get tired of carrying three to four cups in my hands and nimbly avoiding bumping into things that are likely to cause a spill of precious brew.

ps: their textiles are as amazing.

  2. So happy to see someone else who loves Svenskt Tenn!!! I almost got the last pattern in coasters for nostalgic picnic feelings :D and last minute changed my mind for the white elephants on black — makes me so happy to look at them!

  3. these are so pretty, I’ve got a strange fondness for serving trays. I don’t know if you read the Spot the dog books when you were little, but my grandmother bought me a spot serving tray when I was little. So cool.

  4. Yes! Scandinavians love their trays. Ikea does them as does Jobs Handtryck, Marimekko too. I’ve been wanting one for ages.

  5. the pattern of my couch is the same as that first tray! come to think of it, it would actually be a cool tray to have in my living room. now you see it, now you don’t…
