for a while there i was a bit obsessed with menswear blogs. perhaps that is the wrong term for them. men’s things blogs? you know - jjjjound, them thangs, haw-lin… i had to downscale my subscription to these manly pursuits because i am a lady, after all. not really – there are just too many pictures to keep up with.
loosely fitting into this category is the trad - a blog written by a southern raised manhattan insurance broker (according to this interview) that revolves around trad style. there is a lot of vintage goodness going on, like this post about princeton in 1966. but it was this post from the depths of ’08 that shows scans from a 1965 book called take ivy that stole my heart.

ahh, the last three are dartmouth/my heart
go big green!
never thought i would see my old home on here! the far left window on the first floor in the second photo was mine …
amazing – you are incredibly lucky to have lived there!
There goes my heart…
A friend of mine owns this exact book, it’s so fun and beautiful, and most of all so contemporary!
I love all things Ivy, but then I would be biased. There are nine brilliant Take Ivy playlists over at Brian Gosset’s: http://since78.briangossett.com/
I’m hugely flattered. Many thanks and I love your blog. Very well done.
So lovely pictures.
Your blog is great !
oh man, the combination of preppiness and menswear is just too good! be still my heart.

it’s my favourite man things blog!
the selvedge yard is a long time favourite ;)
my husband love jjjound. there are so many pictures to keep up with though! thanks for sharing this one.
I am so with you on the men’s things blogs obsession… and men’s stores as well– Sid Mashburn, the J. Crew Men’s Shop, Billy Reid… they just have a cool that I don’t find in women’s things/shops as much!!
