just want to take a minute to thank my sponsors this month and highlight some of the gems for you to check out at their shops / blogs. i love supporting independent designers & shops – if you’re interested in sponsoring just email me.
MAN things have been pretty busy for me lately, which is why things are kinda slow around here this week – i do apologise. at the end of the month i will be moving into my new place (yippee!) and going semi-freelance, which is quite scary but also really exciting. that also means i’ll finally have more time to blog.
couldn’t find a great pic of them so i just made this up
continuing with my music sharing, i thought i’d introduce you to Beatenberg – a band from good ol’ Cape Town, South Africa. if you’re a local you have probably heard of these guys and may have been lucky enough to see them live. if you are one of my international readers perhaps you haven’t heard of them, in which case – enjoy. if you’re into a paul simonesque / vampire weekendy / john mayerish (minus the douchebaginess) sorta sound then this is for you.
as many of you know i love browsing through the life image archives. usually i have no real goal – just sniffing around, digging until i find something great to share with you. since it’s Valentine’s Day i thought this collection of photographs called Japanese Love Story by John Dominis was fitting. i don’t know what the photographs were taken for or if there is an actual love story behind any of them… perhaps just let your imagination fill in the blanks.
