These Things No.36

these things no.36!

the story behind don draper’s new digs. i am so envious of set decorator claudette didul’s job. she GETS PAID to scour antique shops and mid-century dealers and craigslist to find all these gems. and so she should, because she’s done an amazing job.

really enjoyed hila’s beautiful post romantic femininity, where she draws comparisons between representations of femininity in art & costume films

this looks delicious: matcha & black sesame dessert by the wandering girl

the home of artist doug aitkens is killer. “a modest, functional home where the ground-floor walls and curtains have been silk-screened to simulate the hedges growing outside the windows, the sky-lighted staircase is lined with angled mirrors that turn the passage into a dazzling kaleidoscope…”

riley tote from rennes

joke’s on me is a collection of work by japanese-american artist yoskay yamamoto, via art hound

katie took photos at a new coffee house in sydney called the grounds. besides the beautiful photography (as excepted with katie) there are some great recipes and, of course, a sneak peek at the wonderful interiors.

i am having serious buyer’s remorse after seeing this pink couch on decor8

douglas + bec is an online shop that sells interesting homeware, prints, art, stationery and other nice things

creme cycles is cute

such interesting pieces from cursive design at pour porter

and to end things on an adorable note, i keep looking at this article about the CUTEST orphaned baby owls. they look like grumpy old men babies (and what could be better than that?)

  1. You definitely hit the nail on the head with the baby owls. Grumpy old men babies!

Love the rest of your things – I’m also so envious of that pink couch!

  2. Love this list. The riley tote is amazing. Also adore that pink couch. You nailed it again lady.

  3. Thanks Diana, I actually thought no one would read my Romantic Femininity post. Silly, I know (but I tend to think that about most of my posts).
