it’s always great when a wonderfully creative lookbook draws you in, but it’s doubly awesome when you really LOVE the products that are being showcased. Billie Sunday is a new line of bags out of Barcelona by designers Mar Villegas and Emma Pardos. the lookbook for their first collection Sand Paradise, which is inspired by Palm Springs in the early 60s, unfolds over five days and plays out like a sunny sixties thriller. you can shop the collection here.
A collection that inserts you into the aesthetics and ordinary qualities of this American vacation paradise that consisted of no more than swimming pools, motels and palm trees surrounded by desert. The photographs taken by Las Coleccionistas, recollect the atmosphere of that particular place through stories, parties, neighborhoods, and pursuits which blend together as if it were a motion picture.

The items are realy nice! but i must say the situations make me feel a bit unconfortable, like the women are beeing followed or chased..
so creative im salivating.
GREAT PICTURES ! I love it.
It reminds me of Guy Bourdin photography.
do you know what brand of shoes the model is wearing in this picture? http://i.minus.com/iSwUsMJSmZUwr.jpg
Vintage chic. I’m liking that bucket bag.
These are great!
I think theatre is better than just a simple pose.
The bags are lovely and simple. However, local South African designers can and do produce bags that are equally as exquisite. Sue from flagship-handbags.co.za creates beautiful bespoke leather handbags that rival these. Check her out.
If the photos make you uncomfortable it probably means a job well done. I’ve seen them in person and these bags are soooo beautiful up close.
love this series! that mustard print jumpsuit is so perfect, along with all the bags. x
