Kirsty & Simon

i haven’t been thinking about the wedding much at all lately, partly because it’s 7 months away (actually… not so far away if you think about it), and partly because i’ve been busy with other things, but mostly because i get a bit overwhelmed every time i think about it. so much to plan, so many decisions to make. etc. so whenever i see a beautiful simple wedding i feel quite relieved and see a glimmer of hope at the end of the wedding planning tunnel.

one such wedding is that of Kirsty & Simon, who had a wonderful laid back Aussie beach affair. they had a taco truck at their reception. how coooool and delicious is that! the photographs were taken by the very talented Brooke Holm who said of the day,

“It was a beautiful summer’s day down on the Great Ocean Road when Kirsty (who runs the super cute blog Otis and Otto) and Simon were to be married. I went along for the ride to take some photos for them and I must say it was one of the best weddings I have ever been to. Everything was wonderfully styled and planned, a gorgeous paper flower backdrop and other paper decorations were created by the talented Marsha Golemac and everyone was just relaxing and having a great time.”

yes, that’s what it’s all about.

  1. This looks beautiful- I love seeing weddings like this! But alas, still too much planning for me, so we’re eloping!

  2. So, so perfect. My husband and I had a very intimate wedding: less than 20 guests. My husband’s brother played guitar as a walked down the “aisle” of a beautiful parlor room situated in the oldest church in Portland (that is no longer a church, but an event space) wearing a vintage gown and a crown of flowers I made myself. We then all met up at our favorite brunch spot. It was just lovely.

  3. Aww. So glad you liked our Wedding Fiesta. Brooke did an amaaaazing job!

Can’t wait to see what you have planned…happy days! X Kirsty
