That dress

i don’t look at wedding blogs at all anymore, mostly because my interest in all things wedding peaked around the time we got married. i still follow a few wedding photographers on Instagram, because i admire their talent and i love seeing when they share genuine moments (rather than, say, amazing floral centrepieces). that’s how i discovered Jenni le Grange, a wedding photographer based in Cape Town, and while browsing through her website i saw THE MOST AMAZING DRESS.

Andel & Pieter got married inside an old prison in Riversdale and their wedding looked like a completely joyful, colourful, happy, wonderful day. but let’s concentrate on that dress. worn by a beaming and radiant Andel (love her lipstick colour) and designed by local fashion designer Sheila-Madge Bakker (who, criminally, doesn’t seem to have a website).

Jenni shares all of the beautiful photographs on her blog, where you should also check out the rest of her talents.

  1. I love when one piece of art/clothing makes you rethink the boundaries we put on traditional items. Such a lovely dress.

  2. This whole wedding is beautiful! I love that it’s becoming acceptable to do pretty much whatever you want in regards to your wedding. Why not be unique! Love it, thanks for sharing.
