you might be one of the 52k people who follow photographer Parker Fitzgerald on Instagram, or you may know his work from extensive collaborations with big names like Kinfolk or perhaps you first discovered him when i featured his work way back in 2010 (mega blog flashback!). over the course of two years Fitzgerald collaborated with floral designer Riley Messina, and the result is OVERGROWTH, a limited edition book comprised of nearly 120 images that blur the lines between humans and nature.
OVERGROWTH features a large cast of friends posed with Messina’s striking floral arrangements. Shot entirely on Kodak film by Fitzgerald, and styled by Messina, the images have a haunting, dream-like quality that makes them stay with the viewer long after they’ve put the book down.
i love the underwater ones, remind me of Monet. you can buy the book at their online shop.
