mélanie laurent is a parisian born french actress – as i suspected, chic all the way
i decided to rent the first season of true blood and watched it pretty much in 2 days – i absolutely love the southern / louisiana setting
i can overlook the fact that it’s a musical because (a) daniel day-lewis and (b) sophia loren.
sometimes i get really amusing search engine terms, but the BEST one i’ve had so far is, “perhaps pierre? monique?”
i’ve watched this advert a multitude of times, but decided to share anyway for those of you who might have missed it.

where the wild things are, music from the official soundtrack
Air popped up on my playlist this morning, which of course made me think of The Virgin Suicides. one of those movies that i love, but hardly ever watch. i think most girls my age can relate when i say this film had an impact on my teenage days (i was 16 when it came out). we were the same age as the lisbon chicks (but, hopefully, not as sheltered/melancholic/suicidal) and we all kind of had a thing for josh hartnett.
the irresistible combination of the visuals and music of this film must have inspired thousands of girls to create flickr photo sets that are dreamy + ethereal and heavily photoshopped to look pastel + lovely. sophia coppola is their queen, as you can also pick up in the recent ad she did for miss dior cherie:
it’s all very pretty though, isn’t it?
bored to death is a new show on HBO. ok wait – this has jason schwartzman, zach galifianakis AND ted danson in it.
he had the most beautiful deadpan expression.
yoh. when is this movie coming out already? the second trailer is pretty great, btw.
have you seen UP yet? you should go see it, preferably with some kids.
i watched 1/2 of watchmen last night. i would have enjoyed it more if it went something like this
