i have posted about giancarlo rado before, but he is always worth a revisit. his collection of italian portraits seem to just get better and better with each viewing… i’d love to own one of these as a print.

my favourite thing about the karoo isn’t the wide open spaces or the lack of people or the lamb or the way it feels in winter (though all those are unimaginably good) – but the buildings. oh, those little houses.
“classic cars photographed in suburban neighborhoods. the series came about when i started to realize how many of these scenes reminded me of the era and places where i grew up as a child. eventually, finding and photographing these scenes became somewhat of an obsession.”
