my mom snapped these in the late afternoon at kogel bay – bear in mind that they were taken from the coastal road above the beach – if you have ever been to kogel bay you’ll know how far away that is. love this sequence & the sunset light on the water.
she has a nice flickr gallery & some cool fashion photography
i really like her photos, they look like could be plucked straight from lula (or any of those rad, dreamy magazines)
some of the photos from my first trip to italy in 2003. it was a pretty extensive jaunt around the country including places like venice, firenze, pisa, luca, san gimignano, siena, assisi, collepino, trevi, rome, pompei, the amalfi coast and lots of wee towns inbetween. they SAY it was the hottest summer in italy for 200 years that year (or something silly) – but apparently the oldies were topping over it was so hot. and it was! luckily everyone enjoys sitting around and just chilling out. i loved it, and it’s very much like the movies sometimes – bella italia etc etc.
Crossing the desert on the back of a dog or searching for lost treasures on the bottom of the ocean, Jan von Holleben’s photographs make nostalgic dreams come true.
corgis might possibly take the prize for cutest puppy – photos from everything and the rest.
i just realised i’ve been doing a lot of dog / puppy posts. i’ll stop now.
