joey lawrence

when i first saw joey lawrence‘s photography of holy men, tribes and people in ethiopia, india & indonesia, i thought that he must be a veteran photographer… possibly over 40, probably more like over 50 – with years of experience and travelling under his belt. turns out he was born in 1987 (which makes him 4 years younger than me) . wow. his portfolio includes impressive commercial projects for the advertising & music industries, but his personal photography is what really caught my eye. go check out his website for more photos as well as his blog for interesting travel stories & videos.

that feeling – when it’s so nice outside but you have work to do. man.

prête-moi ta main

i watched a french romantic comedy last night called i do: how to get married & stay single (prête-moi ta main). it’s not a rom-com the way american ones are – in other words it’s actually funny and not schmaltzy at all. if you want to watch a light hearted movie that will really make you laugh (and you don’t mind subtitles), go rent this now.

toto

totokaelo has some great stuff at the moment. i can remember how excited i was the first time i discovered it, my friend and i looked at every single piece of clothing for the better part of an hour… and every time i visit i end up spending way too much time browsing. they stock APC, acne, chloe, opening ceremony, rachel comey, vanessa bruno & many more.

shorpy

shorpy is one of those sites i should have discovered years ago, but instead only found in the past month via this via that via this via some other site i forget. anyway i’m glad i did because these vintage images are quality. and when i say quality, i mean HIGH quality.
