i’m excited for the criterion collection dvd of fantastic mr fox to come out (after the release of the film itself, of course) – i love seeing wes anderson’s plans & drawings almost as much as the actual movies. here’s the second trailer in case you haven’t seen it yet (first trailer here)

partly cloudy
have you seen UP yet? you should go see it, preferably with some kids (though perhaps aged 5 and UP, my 4 year old nephew found parts a bit scary). but i have to tell you, the short film they showed before the film – Partly Cloudy – was probably my favourite, favourite part. as soon as it was over, i wanted to watch it again. probably the best short film since For The Birds. in fact, they should just make all their short films about birds.
