Danner x Beckel

Danner x Beckel

Danner is a shoemaker based in Portland, Oregon that has been making outdoor boots since 1932. Beckel, also based in Portland, is known for its signature canvas tents and bags which it has been making since 1964. and these two companies actually have a shared history, as current president Kathy Beckel’s father was friends and neighbours with Bill Danner. now, they have collaborated to make the Danner Light Beckel – a boot that’s rooted in Northwest tradition and rugged durability… and looks damn cool, too.

Cobra Rock Boot Company

Cobra Rock Boot Company is a boot making workshop operating out of Marfa, Texas by owners & bootmakers Logan Caldbeck and Colt Miller. they make these amazing western-influenced desert style leather boots of their own design using wooden lasts from the 40s & 50s, hammering and stitching every boot my hand using equipment that bootmakers have been using for over a century.

camper

as far as i can remember camper was one of the first famous international designer brands that opened a store in south africa (possibly in 2001/2? i remember going to the shop in the waterfront in my first year of university). their shoes were of such quality & so different from anything else you could get at the time. the boots were especially covetable (though pricey…), and everyone loved their twin range of shoes which were so clever & cute.
