oh! i really REALLY love these dresses by LA based designer Natalie Martin. they have some really sweet tops & blouses too, and i also really love this short kimono. Natalie is originally from Australia, and is especially inspired by the unique batik prints and embroidery of Bali. all the dresses are made from hand batik printed silk.
every day i go online i think, this is it – there’s nothing new for me to discover. i know all the clothing designers, i have seen it all. nope. wrong. every day there’s something new-to-me. i was actually surprised i hadn’t come across Reformation before (pardon me Americans if i am super slow on the uptake, so uncool!) they make these damn beautiful dresses that you can buy in a variety of colours & patterns. yes! that’s the dream.
i have a very bizarro habit of browsing ASOS for dresses… often. i don’t know what it is, probably because i like to be overly prepare for things (eg buying a new outfit for a wedding that’s 6 months away, or getting my summer dresses now while it’s still raining). so, may as well turn my obsession into something helpful. looking for a dress? i’ve got you covered.
Nadia Tarr is a former dancer & choreographer turned fashion designer – and you can definitely see that influence in her beautiful, simple silhouettes. i love love love her midi & maxi dresses, and would honestly want one in every colour & pattern if i had my way (though if i had to choose i’d say this one and this one are my favourites). there’s something about these classic shapes that really make a woman look so refined… and want to have a jaunt on the Riviera, possibly.
i love oak
