The ASOS Dress

i have a very bizarro habit of browsing ASOS for dresses… often. i don’t know what it is, probably because i like to be overly prepare for things (eg buying a new outfit for a wedding that’s 6 months away, or getting my summer dresses now while it’s still raining). so, may as well turn my obsession into something helpful. looking for a dress? i’ve got you covered.

just click on the fancy little icons to be taken to the dress.

Kolonaki

even though summer is on the way out for us down south (i wore boots yesterday for the first time!) i can still appreciate some breezy summer wear, especially since i basically spent all last summer in long skirts or dresses.

Kolonaki is a spanish brand with some sweet new stuff for summer 14. i love that first polka dot dress. all items available at their online shop. it looks like they only ship to the UK & Europe at the moment. US readers can buy their stuff at The Cools.

Kelsey Genna

i’ve eagerly been following the making of of Kelsey Genna’s bridal collection on her Instagram account, so was pleased to see that her new website showcasing the entire range launched this morning. and WHAT a collection! you may remember that i blogged about Kelsey last year, so to see how her designs have evolved is just wonderful. she is of course still inspired by nature & blooming florals – the entire bridal collection is in fact inspired by flowers (as you can probably tell by names such as Begonia, Windflower, Zinnia, Flowercup) and all pieces are hand crafted & limited edition. plus, i pointed this out last time but i can’t help but emphasize – Kelsey is only 21 years old.

learn more about Kelsey & her work at her blog The Flower Bride and shop the bridal collection here.

bridesmaids

a friend of mine is getting married this year, so i’ve been helping her find inspiration for her wedding (another great excuse to peruse wedding sites, i suppose). came across this wedding on once wed (probably my favourite wedding blog) where the bridesmaids all wore different dresses, but still adhered to a particular style (in this case, short and leggy!)

it’s probably the best example of “unique” bridesmaid dresses i’ve seen, and exactly what i would want if i ever get hitched one day. i’ve never really understood the need for the bridesmaids all to be decked out in the same colour / identical dresses, but maybe that’s just me.

that’s a good lookin’ bunch of bridesmaids, too. okay, i can’t resist featuring the rest of the wedding, as it’s just gorgeous:

frock

the frock collection by anja louise verdugoPainted clothing, mostly from the 20′s and 30′s, based on ebay photos of things I couldn’t buy. An upgrade from the low-quality ebay photos, and a way to have these items without actually owning the frocks.
