okay okay there will be no more mad men posts for a while, this is the last one i promise
have you voted in the mad men casting call competition? basically people take photos of themselves in mad men era get-ups hoping to win a walk on role in an episode of the show. rad! i have to say i do not agree with who is top ranked right now…. these are my personal favourites (click on the pics to be taken to their pages to vote)
ok i am a mad men addict, that’s been well established. i’ve watched the season 4 premiere twice already. just wanted to highlight some moments of wardrobe & set design that i loved in this episode. there aren’t any spoilers, but i’ve put in a jump just in case you don’t want to see anything yet!
mad men season 4 starts on sunday and i cannot wait. here are some promos to tide you over…
i don’t ever feature contemporary men’s fashion because (a) i have no interest in it and (b) 99% of the time it’s too metro looking for my liking. do people still use that term, metrosexual? well i hope you understand what i mean. it’s more about aesthetics really – i appreciate men who don’t wear their pants down their bums, who steer clear of t-shirts with arbitrary slogans (or anything made by ed hardy), who wear clean shoes, who tuck in their shirts, who don’t undo their buttons all the way down to their chests, who don’t wear jewellery – things that are just supposed to come naturally. other than that i don’t really group men and fashion in the same category.
