my copy of the miseducation of lauryn hill was basically the soundtrack to my life when i was 15 (as well as the fugees, actually). to the point where not only did i know the words to all the songs, but i knew the words of the interludes of the children discussing things between each track. i am craving for her to make a comeback, big time. but who knows if that’s ever going to happen? for now i can take solace in one of my favourite ever music videos:
new goldfrapp music video directed by legs
Q: How would you describe this video in under 140 characters?
A: Goldfrapp leads Black Metal heads through sexed up aerobics – they are joined by neon nymphs who seduce and sacrifice them for rainbow blood.

you probably enjoyed the musical stylings of the cranberries at some point in the mid nineties. i love their big hits as much as the next person (linger, dreams, zombie) … but when you’re gone has always been my favourite cranberries track. i had it on tape and played it over and over on my walkman. do you know how difficult that is to do with a tape? you have to rewind and then find the right place… oh man! but it was worth it.
i won’t make a habit of posting youtube videos, but this song has resurfaced in my playlist this past week and has enjoyed numerous repeat plays once again (it’s in the top ten most played songs on my ipod). cute video, too.
