i love following Whitney Bickers on Instagram, she has the cutest shop and style and clients. if i ever make it to LA one day then i will have to pay Myrtle a visit, stat. i also love receiving her new lookbooks in my inbox – they are always interesting & unique. the last one i featured was illustrated which i thought was just brilliant! this is her latest, for FW14.
i always look forward to hearing from Whitney of LA-based Myrtle because the seasonal lookbooks for her fantastic shop are a thing of beauty. this time was no different, except it WAS different – because instead of using talented photographers, Whitney commissioned six artists to illustrate the FW13 lookbook.
i was lucky enough to get a sneak peak of the new lookbook for LA-based shop Myrtle over the weekend, which just launched today. it was shot by Megan McIsaac (who shot the previous Myrtle lookbooks) and Laura Taylor – and instead of getting models they photographed each other, which is why the lookbook is called Double EP. that’s a bit of a stroke of genius, if you ask me. the newly renovated Echo Lake in Echo Park, LA was the setting. you can shop Myrtle’s wares online here and be sure to follow the adorable Whitney on Instagram where she often showcases their new arrivals.
Whitney sent over the latest lookbook for her LA based shop Myrtle (you may remember the fantastic Tomboy Style lookbook from earlier this year). it was photographed by Megan McIsaac, and features designers such as Ermie (who wouldn’t recognise those first two dresses), Elkin, Feral Childe, Micaela Greg, and Samantha Pleet amongst others.
Myrtle is a shop in Echo Park, LA owned by Whitney Bickers and featuring quality clothing and goods both vintage and by independent female designers. the new Spring 2012 lookbook was styled by Whitney with inspiration from Lizzie Garrett’s just released Tomboy Style book, and photographed by Megan McIsaac at Frank Lloyd Wright’s beautiful Hollyhock House at Barnsdall Park in LA. i’m also proud to spot a bag by South African designer Missibaba.
