i just wanted to highlight some of the wonderful wares from my fantastic sponsors…. if you’re interested in sponsoring drop me a line at diana @ missmoss.co.za!
usually i’d wait to see an entire collection before posting about it, but judging by the sneak peek and behind the scenes photos from the new S/S 2012 Wiksten collection by Jenny Gordy you know it’s going to be good. these pieces, including the beautiful jewellery, will be available in the Wiksten shop from mid-to late june. the photos were taken by Jennifer Causey – the talented photographed behind The Makers.
Lambs Ear Shoes is a shop in Seattle that stocks an amazing range of shoes (amongst other beautiful wares, but i’m pretty taken by the shoes) from designers like a detacher, common projects, dieppa restrepo, steven alan, rachel comey and ld tuttle. you can peruse their range in their online shop and, best of all, they ship internationally. these buckle boots by plomo have my name written all over them.
Significant Others is a carefully edited online retail shop offering beautifully crafted artworks and objects. Brought to you by designer Suzy Tuxen of A Friend Of Mine and craftsman Ryan Ward of United Measures. The products have a focus on hand crafted techniques rather than mass production, making each piece a labour of love. Images & text courtesy of Significant Others
Margaret Howell recently partnered with Japanese publication Houyhnhnm to showcase the S/S 2012 collection from her off-shoot line MHL. it is a beautiful collection, and i love how it completely slipstreams into the Japenese aesthetic of favouring comfortable, functional clothes made from natural fabrics.
i had to put a devastating end to my love affair with ASOS because having anything shipped into South Africa usually ends up costing a fortune in customs charges* – but if i was living across the pond i’d definitely be snapping up some of these pieces from the ASOS SALON collection

Couverture & The Garbstore is one of my fantastic sponsors, a concept store located in the heart of London’s Notting Hill that boasts three floors and is made up of two sections – Couverture which specialises in womenswear, accessories, kidswear, homeware and vintage finds; and The Garbstore which is their own menswear label. They have a fantastic online shop that sells pieces from independent designers and some of my personal favourites like Rachel Comey, Steven Alan, Minä Perhonen, Charlotte Linton, A Détacher, Colenimo and tons more.
