Seaworthy SS15

while i was away Marisa from Seaworthy sent me the lookbook for her new SS15 collection Meta. i have blogged about her beautiful pieces before, and she even sponsored the blog for a time – so I am always excited to see what she has in store.

Meta being the prefix that often means later, after or beyond. This collection feels like the natural progression for Seaworthy – we’ve added fine metals and more sophisticated silhouettes.  As well as pieces that are designed to have options. Like wearing the Lanata necklace short or long and how the Inga can morph from a double layer to a single drop.

her lookbooks are also always so gorgeous. the photography and layout is by Mikola Accuardi, styling by Sarah Radcliffe of Yo Vintage, hair and makeup by Kassandra Sommerville. modeled by Emily Mills. Portland is brimming with some talented women.

shop the collection here. my favourites are the Carica earrings and the Leilus necklace.

Association

i distinctly remember really loving & pinning away the beautiful Portland home of John and Jen Vitale that was featured on Freunde von Freunden last year. so imagine my delight (more things ought to be delightful) when Jen emailed me about their new venture Association – a lifestyle shop that offers items made by their friends and fellow creatives.

Association is us. We collaborate with friends, fellow creatives and artists to offer you a carefully curated selection of unique, quality goods, both new and found, that are a reflection of a shared appreciation for living an intentional lifestyle.

you can browse their new launched online shop, which includes new and vintage goods like ceramics, apothecary, textiles, jewellery, vinyl and a small selection of clothing – notably these rad smocks (which you can see in the lookbook) by State The Label. they also sell their own brand of handmade cutting boards, leather wallets and driftwood + clay mobiles that are handmade by Jen & her husband John.

Yo Vintage: Her

Yo Vintage is one of my long time sponsors (please check the sidebar and support these shops & makers!), and owner Sarah just sent over their latest lookbook, entitled Her after the film that’s on most people’s lips at the moment. everybody i meet is either talking about it or i’m telling them to see it (go see it). Yo Vintage is a Portland based online shop that sells wonderful hand-selected vintage as well as new designers.

Seaworthy: Diosa

Marisa from Portland based jewellery label Seaworthy has just released her seventh collection Diosa, bringing together the attributes of softness and strength. the model has a bit of a Lady Sybil from Downton Abbey vibe, don’t you think? i could actually imagine Sybil rocking some kick ass knuckle rings. i’m also really into that beautiful Paso bangle  and the Aspa bracelet. such rad pieces – shop online here.

autoctona

catching up on my reader this morning i spotted autoctona over at anja’s wonderful fashion fridays post. allessandra is the talented italian born, portland based designer behind the label. you can read more about the meaning of the symbols used on some of the pieces here.

autoctona means native, an italian word referring to origin, identity and a sense of belonging in the most primitive form. we create forward thinking objects whilst preserving and fostering the use of premium craftsmanship and materials. these are contemporary pieces that challenge a conventional definition of jewelry, clothing and accessory. the primary inspirations are amulets, ritual objects and love tokens with their associated symbolism. each piece has been designed, prototyped and singularly hand cast. we source and create everything locally.
