With its comforting menu of coffee, pastries, and ice cream, The Old Brooklyn Parlor is filling a void in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Objective Subject worked with the owner, Nick Haven, to establish the 1930s Brooklyn aesthetic with dense typography of classic New York geometric sans serif and custom hand-lettered script.
my friends jessica & luke have just opened a new restaurant in stellenbosch (south africa) called Nook. woweeeee guys, it’s really awesome! if you’re in the neighbourhood, go go go! they have tasty coffee, pastries, cakes and obviously savoury delights, too. i designed their logo, menu etc – and also organised groovy pics for the interior.
Identity for a new concept eatery which recently opened on Long Street (Cape Town). The name, The Quarter, takes it’s lead from the colloquial term for bunny chow – a South African street food which originated in Durban in the 1940’s. The term is a slang description for a hollowed out loaf of bread (usually a quarter loaf) filled with curry.
