Wedding At Home

Kristen Marie Tourtillotte is a wedding photographer based in Seattle who got in touch with me recently to share the wedding of Michelle & Ryan, who got hitched at home amongst their friends, family and pets. i loooooooooove this. everything about it is what i love about small weddings – intimate & personal, mimosas & pies, dancing in the backyard… not to mention Kristen’s beautiful photography. i could barely pick my favourites, be sure to check out the entire wedding.

Anna & Marek

some more beautiful photographs from Anna & Marek Strachan, who i previously posted about here.

Using digital and analog cameras (35 mm and 120 mm film) we try to take advantage mainly of daylight and to avoid extensive image postprocessing.

max & margaux

the wedding of max & margaux has been well documented online (you can see the five posts over at once wed here, here, here, here & here). max is a well-known wedding photographer himself (he photographed joanna of a cup of jo’s wedding) and so it’s not a surprise that they got some very talented individuals involved in their own event. photographers our labor of love, stylist ashley meaders, the wedding event collective the flashdance (who they are a part of) as well as the rifle paper company who designed their wedding invitations. all in all it looks like it was an amazing two days, and i encourage you to look through all the posts i linked to.

i just wanted to show you their wedding video, because (1) it is really very beautiful (allow me to be a sap for a second) and (2) her dress is wow, probably the best wedding dress i’ve ever laid my eyes on.

bridesmaids

a friend of mine is getting married this year, so i’ve been helping her find inspiration for her wedding (another great excuse to peruse wedding sites, i suppose). came across this wedding on once wed (probably my favourite wedding blog) where the bridesmaids all wore different dresses, but still adhered to a particular style (in this case, short and leggy!)

it’s probably the best example of “unique” bridesmaid dresses i’ve seen, and exactly what i would want if i ever get hitched one day. i’ve never really understood the need for the bridesmaids all to be decked out in the same colour / identical dresses, but maybe that’s just me.

that’s a good lookin’ bunch of bridesmaids, too. okay, i can’t resist featuring the rest of the wedding, as it’s just gorgeous:
