fosik’s animal subjects and anthropomorphized beings are built using a complex process in which each form is carefully handcrafted by arranging hundreds of pieces of individually cut and varnished wood, which the artist paints in vibrant colors and patterns. sharp teeth, claws, and eyes emerge once the creatures are completed—either constructed as freestanding forms or wall-mounted pieces, referencing modern taxidermy practices.

this is an awesome DIY project from the brick house – it looks so cool and professional, like something you’d pay thousands of bucks to get an interior designer to do. not sure about where you can get plumbing fixtures like that in SA, i assume builder’s warehouse? errrrm…. plumb-link? either way, it’s just standard pipes that are spray painted black…. man, i’m so clueless. don’t laugh at me, plumbers.

i love these kitchen cupboards – so simple! i know people get kind of stressed out about redoing their kitchens, then they end up spending lots of cash on fake wood and fake granite tops etc etc – but look how great this solution is. i reckon probably inexpensive in comparison, too. if you ever get tired of that scandanavian wood vibe, just paint them. boom. via decor8

i do feel like 99% of the structures on these archi blogs are pretty samey (wood, glass, sharp edges – give me a victorian anyday, right?) – but this is pretty coooool
