Flower Safari is a group spring show that i watched grow as a seedling, as it were, from the mind of my friends Amy & Mariah. held at the new Side Street Studios in Woodstock, it features clothing by Take Care, jewellery by Dear Rae and art & products from talented people like Amy, Jessicah Pedersen, Nix Davies, Julia Merrett, Emalie Bingham, Kirsty Rielly, Elsabe Milandri and Thingking. The event was styled by Mariah, who created those beautiful flower chandeliers. the show will be running through November so make sure you go have a look and maybe buy some art.
i finally got round to going to superette and it is as good as i’ve heard. went there on a saturday morning after a night of one too many margaritas, so was dying for a coffee and some runny eggs. i really hate crowded restaurants and was kind of dreading that it would be packed full of the same crowd that goes to the biscuit mill market, but luckily the atmosphere was super mellow and the staff were friendly & attentive.
40 years ago this weekend: love, peace, music, mud & tons of drugs. the photos, stories, videos etc make me nostalgic for something i could never have experienced myself (make sense?). i would have enjoyed seeing creedence clearwater revival, the who & other greats. anyway, love me some hippies. photos: life mag
