don’t know what it is about Art Scrub, but i spent an inordinate length of time looking through these images of art museums that contain no art (sometimes that infinite scroll on tumblr just sucks you in, ya know?) they are hilarious, silly and occasionally sad to look at. brought to you by the same anonymous genius who does Great Art In Ugly Rooms – which is also worth a lengthy scroll. also check out my Art Appreciation post (which contains actual art)

Oh yeah that infinite scroll, I feel you!

I LOVE this!! Hilarious. And I like how the viewers kind of become the subject. I kept scrolling just to see how people were interacting with the now blank space.

i can relate. i actually found myself staring at an object in a contemporary art museum recently, only to discover it was a piece of display furniture with a “temporary on loan” sign attached, not a work of minimalism. the worst part is that i’m a gallery director! Ha! We’re all fools to art.

Ha, I follow your website in a feed reader – imagine my surprise to see my last girlfriend at the top of this page!

I took the photo of the girl in the yellow skirt in the San Fran Moma several years ago, they must of grabbed it from my Flickr account.

She was looking at a Clyfford Still piece that she’d flown from London to see, if anyone is interested.

Love the site, keep up the good work!
