have i ever told you how addicted we are to MasterChef? only the Australian one, mind you. we found the American one way too competitive! and the South African one is just embarrassing. so, my husband and i are complete addicts. the latest season just ended (DON’T google or go to the official website if you don’t want spoilers to ruin your day!) so i have had to fill my MasterChef gap with other food related distractions like that movie Chef, which i really enjoyed, and delving into the occasional food blog.

French Cuisse is a tumblr by 22 year old William Matthew Vale who works in the restaurant industry. he sees it less as a food blog and more like his own personal “culinary portfolio”. it certainly is a wonderful portfolio given that the food looks amazing and the photos are crisp and inviting. he only posts the ingredients and the end result, so if you intend on recreating his awesome looking dishes you may be in for some trial and error cooking.

I love that you are into Master Chef Australia! I normally don’t watch those shows but when we were in London last year visiting friends we watched it with them every night and it was sooooo good. I wanted to keep watching when we got back to the States but I couldn’t find it here! Argh! I kept emailing my friend asking her to give me updates on who was winning.

MasterChef Australia is definitely the best! I’m in the UK and feel like the contestants here are a little more reserved. I love the food they cook on the Australian one too. Thanks for the reminder, I’m off to binge watch the series now!

I love the clean simplicity of these photos, great technique. After watching all seasons of the US Masterchef, I stumbled on the Australian one and thought “Wow, these contestants are SO nice to each other!”. Quite the contrast.

Agree 100% about Masterchef Australia!! Though to fill the gap until the next season airs on TV i’m forced to watch Masterchef South Africa….

I totally agree with you about Masterchef usa vs Masterchef Australia! I used to like Masterchef usa when we lived in Canada, but when we moved to Finland, we got to see the Australian version and it’s so much better. I especially like that they actually go through the recipes and techniques in teaching episodes and it’s not all about who the final winner will be. I’m going to have to do some sleuthing to get it when we move back to Canada!
