sometimes i like jewellery to be delicate & almost unnoticeable, something that peeks out from the folds of your blouse or is so innocuous you only notice when the light catches it at a certain angle. other times, i want my jewellery to be so big and bold that strangers stop me in the street to ask where i got it. i think designer Olivia Terrell treads this line pretty well.
olivia is a jewelry artist, designer, & maker living in madrid, spain with her husband. born and raised in nashville, tennessee, olivia has always been influenced by her southern roots, but now with her spanish surroundings, she is finding new inspiration in the culture, colors, architecture, food, & vibrant people she encounters. olivia values the process of creation, and loves watching each piece go from initial sketch to final product. the beauty of her craft & handiwork is that there are never two exactly identical pieces: there are imperfections; there are flaws. it’s a sign of life & a gift: from the maker to the wearer.
