yesterday we celebrated our one year wedding anniversary and as a serious treat we spent a night at Clouds Estate outside Stellenbosch. we stayed here just after our wedding, so it was special for us to return, and of course just amazing to get to spend time at this exquisite location.
if you ever make a trip to this part of the world and you want to treat yo self then this is it. they also have self-catering units, and they are right next door to Delaire Graaff estate where you can go eat at Indochine and see Tretchikoff’s Chinese Girl – the original.
summer truly arrived in Cape Town this weekend, as you can probably tell by these pictures.
Absolutely breathtaking! I hope you had an absolutely amazing time, and a very Happy and Special Anniversary! :)
It all looks incredible. Happy Anniversary!

This looks like an amazing place to celebrate your 1st anniversary- congratulations! My husband and I just moved to Cape Town last week for his job and we’ll be here for 6 months. We’ve started working our way through your city guide and I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful suggestions. Clarke’s (my god, that’s a juicy burger!), The Power & The Glory, and Tamboerswinkel have become quick favorites. This city is unbelievably beautiful and there seems to be an endless amount of things to do. We’re so happy to be here and to have your expert guidance. Thanks again!
what a lovely, magical place! congrats on your 1 year!
oh… dying to visit…

I cannot get enough of the pictures of the beautiful part of this world you live in!
My husband and I spent our honeymoon in South Africa and did the garden route, safari and a few nights in cape town. We took your guide to capetown and the wine regions, places to eat and stay and explored many of the recommendations. For that, I want to say thank you very much and we really couldnt have done this trip without your blog! This hotel was also one of the highlights, a spectacular way to end prob the best trip I have even been on. Wish all countries have blogs as awesome as this one! Will come back to it for our anniversary trip hopefully :)
