NY based designer Emma Allen has been volunteering in Haiti since she was a teen. On a trip to seek out production capabilities, in the hopes of using her design skills to foster job creation, she met Chandler Hamilton and her husband and Josh – who have been working with artisans in Haiti for the past 4 years. together Chandler and Emma founded Fait La Force, which aims to encourage creativity and economic development in the country.
We work hand in hand with artisans across Haiti to create thoughtfully designed products with local resources and a mix of modern and traditional techniques. Our products are made with care and integrity by artisans in our workshop in Port au Prince, as well as our artisan partners across the country. We strive to create an uplifting work environment fostering collaborations between our artisans and like-minded brands and designers.
