Jane Heng is an Australian designer who splits her time between Melbourne and her country of heritage Cambodia, where she works closely with artisans and fair trade partner workshops to create fine jewellery, silk and ceramic pieces. i looooooooooove these little ceramic stacking vases, perfect for holding single blooms AND your jewellery. how clever is that? it’s also nice to see all the artisans who make these beautiful things.
It has been a long dream of Jane to use her design skills to foster job creation in Cambodia. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fashion at RMIT, Jane packed her bags to live in Cambodia to learn about traditional Cambodian handicraft techniques and now works hand in hand with artisans to create thoughtfully designed products.
all available at her online shop. you can also follow her on Instagram.

I wonder where that fuzzy white sweater is from … so lovely!
Diana, thank you so much for sharing this feature. This has a place in my heart since Jane and I share the same country of heritage and it warms my heart to know and see people doing something for the people of our country. Such beautiful industrial like, yet elegant pieces! Cannot wait to share this with my sister.
I absolutely adore these pieces, it’s so interesting to see how Jane has incorporated elements of both Australian and Cambodian design into her products. Stunning!
Love these pieces, simply breathtaking! Also obsessed with the photography at the simple cool tones with bursts of colour. ^.^

Thanks Diana for sharing this amazing pieces.
I particularly love the ceramics. As a ceramicist myself I know how hard it is to develop a complex design (as the case of the jewelry box-vase) that looks simple and timless.
waiting to see futuer works by Jane Heng
