i really love independent lingeries labels because most of the time they showcase their wares on a variety of “normal” women. and by normal i mean any shape and size – not specifically thin, or specifically curvy, or specifically this or that. just any kind of woman, because there are a billion of us and we all look different. i appreciate this from any fashion line actually, not just lingerie. but when you see a model in her scivvies there is sometimes a certain feeling of, well, i don’t look like that in lingerie. you know? i know it’s an old discussion and i wish it wasn’t still such a THING. but i feel like things are progressing and it’s kind of cool!
anyway so, Lonely hooked me right away with their Lonely Girls Project, which i discovered while browsing the portfolio of photographer Harriet Were (who has taken some beautiful shots for them). their lingerie is pretty bodacious, so go check it out.
Beautiful beautiful photos and models.
I am stunned looking for this beautiful photos. The lingeries are very charming and with a sweet touch.
love this project…
Gotta say, that greenhouse in the background of one of the last pictures is theeee best. Such a great background! I want to go in!

Oh wow, I absolutely love this. What a beautiful campaign and line.
Although I haven’t purchased from them yet, Lonely is definitely on my list of designers I like, and just like you, love their usage of different shapes, sizes and colors of women.
this is so, so great. And her imagery is perfection. It reminds me of the work of Olivia Bee – honest, simple, with just a little something that keeps you going back to look at it again.
this is a beautiful series of photographs on it’s own. real women in so many more ways than just size. so refreshing!
These photos are just so stunning. Do you know what camera/film these were taken with? Thank you! xx
