some of you know that i contribute to Noonday Tune, i post a new song every second Friday and, with most things in my life, i always leave it to the last second – and spend a good 10 minutes to an hour on a Friday morning listening to new music so i have a good one to share by 12pm.
my latest discovery was Madi Diaz, an LA native whose debut album Phantom, released in September, has been described as “the most danceable break up record ever” by LA Weekly. i have been playing the single Stay Together way too often since posting about her, singing along in that always embarrassing fashion when i’m driving in the car on my own. listen to some of her tracks below – I’m betting you’ll be buying it right away.
