damn, the FW14 lookbook by Mayflower Supply was bittersweet for me to look through. very sweet because New York is always a good idea; but ever so slightly bitter because my husband is actually there right now – without me, waaaah! owner Liz Hull gave me some insight into the lovely Meryl & Diane inspired shoot.

I was inspired by Woody Allen’s leading ladies in the 70’s. Meryl Streep (Kramer vs Kramer) is effortless and oh-so-perfectly 70’s New York with her long breezy hair and rosy cheeks; Diane Keaton (Annie Hall) in her loose, oversized layers strolling around Manhattan. So we took to the streets of New York and did our best to do these ladies some justice.

Styled and modeled by Emily Theobald, photos by Hannah Metz and makeup by Annie Strole.

  1. This clothing is such a great example of the kind of brand that engages interest in more than just the clothes., The lookbook is just heaven in terms of styling and photography, I love the story of this girl and the references to the 70″s. This kind of thoughtfulness makes me want to not just buy one piece of clothing but to kind of commit to and follow a brand. The New York story is perfect. Hope you and your husband can go there together soon
