i’m always into things that are slightly off-kilter and what people might call “crazy”. that’s why i instantly took a liking to ELOI, a range of scarves by artist Paige Russell who constructs vibrant designs from paper cut-outs.

The world of ELOI was built around the belief that the best part of dressing yourself is the opportunity for self expression, providing an escape from visual boredom. These scarves are born in my tiny studio in Austin, Texas, out of construction paper cutouts. Reproducing this work on silk transcends the two-dimensional originals, yielding the ability to manipulate and experience a piece in infinite, utilitarian ways.

be sure to check out the ELOI scarf collection as well as Paige’s original art.

  1. Scarves are pretty. Like them.
Less so the artwork. Went to her site – half the stuff is great, the rest looks like a kindergarten display.
