you’ll probably remember designer & letterer extraordinaire Lauren Hom from her great Daily Dishonesty project from a few years back. Lauren has just launched a series of travel-inspired, hand-lettered posters to help fundraise her dream of a round the world trip: 26 Letters 26,000 Miles.
In January 2016, I’m selling all of my belongings, stuffing a few sundresses and a sketchbook into a backpack, and traveling for the entire year. I’m planning on visiting more than 20 countries and setting foot on every continent. Since I make a living drawing the alphabet, I thought it would be pretty rad if I could fund my 26,000 mile journey around the world with the same 26 letters I hold so close to my heart. Every dollar raised through this project will go directly towards my ’round the world journey, from plane tickets to late night street snacks. Can 26 little letters really take me 26,000 miles? I have no idea, but I’d like to find out just how far they’ll get me.
aaah what an awesome & worthwhile project. if she manages to sell 400 posters that would cover her airfare! to help Lauren fund her trip you can buy one of these awesome posters at her online shop. i think this one is my favourite.
PS: Lauren also has some cool side projects like Will Letter For Lunch & Ex Boyfriend Tears
