oh! i really REALLY love these dresses by LA based designer Natalie Martin. they have some really sweet tops & blouses too, and i also really love this short kimono. Natalie is originally from Australia, and is especially inspired by the unique batik prints and embroidery of Bali. all the dresses are made from hand batik printed silk.

The range really is a reflection of my personal style, which is very relaxed. Its has a high sense of glamour, but it’s also understated; a lot of the dresses can be thrown on over a swimsuit and worn out. It’s basically my perfect summer wardrobe.

we’re getting to that stage of the year now where it’s almost just a little bit too cold in Cape Town, and you find yourself lingering in the sun whenever you walk down the street. don’t get me wrong, we still have very temperate winters here – but these dresses have me dreaming of spending a sweltering day somewhere in the shade of a palm tree sipping a cocktail or something.

  1. Australians generally love going to Bali and I could definitely see traces of that in the designs and materials… ;)
