today is “Spring Day” in South Africa – even though our spring equinox is actually on 23 September (my birthday! coincidence? maybe.) i suppose people around here are just too excited to push winter right out of the way. and conversely people on the other side of the world people are quite ready to usher in autumn. Canadian designer Noémie Vaillancourt is one of those people, having just released her FW15 collection for her label Noemiah.

A collection that mixes fun embroidery textiles, unexpected details combined to contemporary silhouettes for a feminine and laid back wardrobe. The garments mix quality fabrics such as lightweight anti-pill Ponte, thick Rayon blend, silk, cotton and Tencel to create elegant evening pieces. Knitwear includes boucle chunky fabric and a delicate ultra soft lace pattern.

i’m quite into pink and black and white as a general uniform, actually. i sometimes wonder how much easier my day would be if i just stuck to one or two colours. collection highlights include a waist-knot dress, the sweetest blush pink Les Filles / Girls top, and a loose-fit jumpsuit. i also loooooove this maxi shirt dress. shop Noemiah online at Etsy.
