happy new year!! we are still away on holiday, but i am easing myself back into work in between reading and napping and eating too many of these guys. this time of year is always kind of bittersweet to me, i don’t want holidays to end but i am also excited to jump back into real life.

Kate Funk and her kitty sidekick, AC, live and work in Milwaukee, WI. It’s there at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design where Kate earned her BFA in photography. She now spends most of her days making cat costumes and dioramas while ingesting copious amounts of sugar and watching far too much television. AC spends his days napping, giving the stink eye to anyone who disrupts his naps, and getting tummy rubs from Kate.
Kate and AC’s journey actually began when she made a birthday card for a friend featuring AC wearing a party hat, you can read more about her story here. she now makes a range of hilarious cards that feature AC in various costumes – ranging from best of the 80s to Magical Creatures to birthday cards. the Beetlejuice card is my absolute favourite. oh, and Kitty Kong of course.
