Mari Giudicelli is the gorgeous brazilian who you have seen modelling for cool brands like Maryam Nassir Zadeh and Erin Considine (amongst many others). she is, naturally, very stylish herself and is launching an eponymous shoe brand – debuting this Friday. you can read all about it at T Magazine.

Giudicelli cites nature as her primary inspiration for the collection, along with designers like Dries Van Noten, Marni and Prada – as well as the photographer Mary Ellen Mark. She looks to paintings for her color palette – like those of the German-born Brazilian Modernist painter Eleanore Koch. “I love looking at shoes in paintings,” she says. Another inspiration: the foot itself. “I’m really intrigued by the anatomy of our feet and how they work,” Giudicelli laughs. “I don’t do really high heels. I’m not against it, but I think you need to be healthy. I’m trying to support that – for ladies to be comfortable and more confident while walking around and doing their tasks.” – T Magazine

i’m not a heel wearer, which is probably why i LOVE the look of this line so much. those block heels are my dream. i have a feeling these are gonna be expensive… you’ll probably just end up ogling them in the window of MNZ, sighing sadly to yourself, and then returning to your pair of last season Zaras. or maybe you’ll spend your entire month’s salary on a pair, that’s cool too (send me a pic, will ya?).
