we won’t be doing a nursery initially, as the kiddo is just going to sleep in our room for the first few months. we would only just have moved into our new house by the time he arrives, so i’d want to figure out the space before settling on who sleeps where (needless to say he will be getting the darkest, quietest room…) but i have, of course, been noticing some pretty sweet kids stuff around the web – especially potential art for his walls.

i like these sweet, simple graphic prints by California based artist Jorey Hurley. they’d suit a kids room without driving a parent too crazy (if i have to see a picture of Elsa from Frozen one more time…) there’s a huge variety to choose from too, i love the planesboats and diggers for a boy – that’s not to say girls won’t also love them, but perhaps they’d be more partial to a giant strawberry.

when he gets tired of all “my art” all over his walls (mooooooooom!) i can just steal it back for myself.

Oh yes oh yes, I have to comment on this and warn you :) We were design control freaks parents from 0 to 18 month, then Elsa from Frozen took control of us despite all our care to avoid the trap. Admit this : Once you become a parent, your environment is not under your control any more decoration-wise, social lify- wise ( Oh yes, your child will test the most unexpected foreign individuals into your cherished and perfect space till the DAY HE OR SHE ARRIVED ) first and unique commandment : you will naturally reset almost ALL your previous standards , haha! But, enjoy, I’d say even, embrace it as a Yes Man experiment !
Good luck beloved Miss Moss, and no matter what you encounter with your kiddo, keep us on the dream cloud.
    Love,

    A fan

I love how adaptable these prints are. Use them in a nursery or in your office, kids or for adults. Art that grows with you. Love the fried egg print the best! My English husband is a huge fan of the fried egg :) xx
