The 1975 are a band from the UK whose latest album I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It was released last week. you may recognise their album covers, which feature the band’s name in a gorgeous neon sign (that is actually how i first came to notice them on Spotify, there’s a lot to be said for an eye-catching album cover).

for the album release photographer David Drake and designer Samuel Burgess Johnson created & shot a series of neon signs named for the songs from the album. they were photographed in locations that were specific and personal to the band – you can read more about that in an interview here.

here they are in order of album appearance, images via David Drake & Samuel Burgess Johnson.

I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it. I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it. I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it. I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it.
