Black Friday has nothing to do with Thanksgiving either. It’s all about Christmas, actually. A head start on Christmas shopping. It just happens to occur after Thanksgiving.

well just shows you how little i know about Black Friday ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    • Beta says:

It doesn’t really just happen to come after Thanksgiving, it ALWAYS occurs the day after. You’re right that shopping has nothing to do with Thanksgiving, but the two events are absolutely intertwined (and more and more U.S. shops open for Black Friday deals on the evening of Thanksgiving to try to get a leg up on bigger sales, shopping frenzy).
