it’s funny how i don’t covet clothes the way i used to. i don’t know if it’s just because i’m getting older, or i’m bored with clothes, or the fact that my body has expanded with 2 pregnancies in 2 years… but every now and then i see a brand that i find really beautiful and i get kind of excited about clothing again. any new investment into my wardrobe will have to wait until this baby is born, but i’d love to acquire some simple, quality pieces that will last a long time.
31 Chapel Lane fits that brief, designed & made in Ireland from Irish linen and tweed.
Established by Damien and Joi Hannigan, our name is derived from a location in County Cavan, Ireland, near Damien’s childhood home. A historically significant town in the development of the Irish linen industry during the 17th and 18th centuries. This connection to the past and the socially transformative qualities of industry and design provided a starting point for the brand. Our items are strong and valuable; made to be enjoyed, lived in, and held onto for a lifetime. Each design is rigorously developed and examined; each piece is tailored from finest Irish linen or Donegal tweed, manufactured in-house with a focus on excellence and longevity.
they have home goods, too!

they also have an Everyday Range with “a colour palette plucked from the Irish countryside”. i really love this plain tee.

Very beautiful clothes. Wonderful colours. Thanks.
